Winter Salt Management Info Session
Winter Salt Week is a national-scale event that is dedicated to raising awareness around salt pollution and reduction solutions.
This session is tailored for HOA and other community association residents, board members, community managers, and maintenance team members. Gain best practices and information for efficient winter salt use, contractor coordination, and strategies to reduce environmental damage while maintaining profitability and setting winter maintenance expectations. Maryland Department of the Environment will share relevant resources for these practices, and hear presentations from the Reston Association and Columbia Association on ways that they are taking action to improve winter salt management in their communities. The session will be held virtually on Friday, January 23rd, from 1 pm to 1:30 pm. Click here to register.
Financial Seminar: Wills, Trusts & Powers of Attorney
Join us in person for an informative session all about wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Whether you’re planning ahead or just curious, we’ll break down the essentials in a way that’s easy to understand. Bring your questions and get ready to learn how to secure your future with confidence!

Howard County Transportation Open House
The third annual Howard County Transportation Open House will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia. Topics include those from the former Transportation Priorities Open House and Active Transportation Open Houses. Additional topics include transportation safety, transit and regional planning, and roadway maintenance and operations. The Open House also provides the public an opportunity to comment on the County’s overall transportation priorities, approaches to solving common transportation challenges, and specific projects.
